Description

The YMCA of Coastal Carolina is seeking a Lifeguard to support our mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time role involves creating a safe, welcoming environment around the pool area, maintaining safe swimming conditions, and responding to emergencies in accordance with YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 15
• Certifications: Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration
• Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent
• Complete all required Redwoods trainings by deadlines
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness

Essential Functions

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool area
• Respond immediately to emergency situations following YMCA procedures
• Perform equipment checks and chemical testing as required
• Maintain accurate records and report hazards
