Job summary

The Meyers Lake YMCA in Canton, Ohio seeks qualified lifeguards to supervise the aquatic area and ensure swimmer safety, with a focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
• If not certified, willingness to be trained

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area
• Attends mandatory in-service trainings
• Positive attitude & team player
• Rescue ready at all times during shift

Education

Lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross)

Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid
