Job summary

Grand Lake Health/Premier Health South YMCA in Minster, OH is seeking a Part-Time Lifeguard to oversee pool safety and assist with swim instruction when needed. The role requires vigilance, quick response to emergencies, and a commitment to YMCA standards.

The position offers free certification training through the YMCA, with compensation around $13.00 to $15.60 per hour and non-exempt status. Training and certification support are provided to selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Ability to obtain/hold Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications.
• Minimum six months of lifesaving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant observation of the pool area.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures.
• Check safety equipment and swimming area for hazards.
• May perform Swim Instructor duties as needed.
• Respond to emergencies per YMCA policies and complete incident reports.
• Promote aquatics programs and assist with event setup.
