Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking qualified lifeguards for Schalmo Family YMCA in Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining swimmer safety in the aquatic area, adhering to in-service trainings, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Starting wage is $12.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience; part-time staff also receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of age.
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
• If not certified, willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Be rescue ready at all times during shift.
