Job summary

The YMCA of Central Stark County – North Canton is seeking qualified lifeguards for weekday evenings and weekends. The role focuses on overseeing the safety of swimmers in the aquatic area, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies with CPR/First Aid readiness.

Minimum age of 15, current Lifeguarding certification (YMCA or Red Cross) and BLS/First Aid are required; willingness to be trained if not certified is supported. Part-time positions include membership perks.

Qualifications

• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification.
• Willingness to be trained if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Rescue ready at all times during shift.
