Job summary

The City of El Segundo is seeking part-time, non-benefited lifeguards to ensure the safety of patrons at city aquatics facilities. Candidates should be responsible, attentive, and committed to providing a safe, positive experience for the community. Available schedule: Monday–Friday 10:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Current American Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR & AED, Lifeguard Training.
• Ability to work mornings, days, evenings, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Protects patrons by enforcing rules and safety procedures.
• Rescues swimmers in danger and administers first aid as needed.
• Provides CPR/first aid and coordinates with aquatics staff.
