Job summary

The City of El Segundo is seeking part-time, non-benefited lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of patrons at City aquatic facilities.

We are looking for candidates who are responsible, attentive, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience for the community. Available Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.; Weekends 10:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Must hold current American Red Cross certifications and be at least 16 years of age.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Current American Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR & AED.
• Lifeguard Training and ability to enforce rules.
• Availability for morning, day and evening hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Protects the life and well-being of patrons by applying safety procedures and enforcing rules.
• Performs rescues and administers CPR/first aid as needed.
• Enforces safety rules and ordinances and communicates with patrons.
• Assists with pool maintenance and attends trainings.
