Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a part-time Lifeguard for an aquatic facility in Delhi Township, Ohio. The role focuses on safety, customer service, and a welcoming environment for members and guests. Requires Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED and First Aid certification, and ability to perform water testing several times daily.

Responsibilities include monitoring patrons, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and assisting with basic facility upkeep. Compensation ranges from $14–$15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of the member management system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training; fold towels, clean, fill water machines, inspect facilities to ensure safety.
• Maintain a professional attitude and perform other duties as needed.
