Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) invites applications for a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) at Ostiguy High School in Dorchester. This part-time, fixed-term position integrates mental health and recovery support within a high school setting, delivering individual and group services to students in recovery from substance use disorders.

The role requires MSW and MA LICSW licensure, with experience serving adolescents.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required.
• Current MA LICSW licensure required.
• Experience with adolescents and/or substance use disorders preferred.
• Knowledge of recovery models (12-step, harm reduction, SMART Recovery).
• Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized recovery/treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate recovery-focused group sessions.
• Monitor relapse risk and respond to crises.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and recovery coaches on student support plans.
• Coordinate with outside providers and families.
