Job summary

ABCD, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) for the Ostiguy High School in Dorchester, MA. This part-time, fixed-term role integrates mental health and addiction treatment within the academic environment to support sobriety and educational success.

The LICSW will conduct assessments, provide individual and group counseling, and collaborate with teachers and recovery staff. The position ends June 17, 2027, with compensation at $44.59 per hour for 15–20 hours per

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Current Massachusetts LICSW licensure.
• Experience with adolescents and/or substance use/co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of recovery models (12-step, harm reduction, SMART Recovery, etc.).
• Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment skills.
• Preferred but not required: experience in a school-based or alternative education setting.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

BACKGROUND: Since 2006, ABCD, Inc. has operated the William J. Ostiguy High School (“Ostiguy High School”), a recovery high school that operates within the alternative educational high school framework. Ostiguy High School provides a safe and supportive school environment for youth who have made a commitment to pursue sobriety while also working to earn a high school diploma. Ostiguy High School offers the academic and clinical support to earn a high school diploma and pursue a postsecondary education at a community college, four-year university, or vocational school.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (“LICSW”) provides individual and group clinical support to students in recovery from substance use disorders within a recovery high school setting. This part-time role integrates mental health and substance use treatment with the academic environment, supporting students' sobriety, emotional wellbeing, and educational success. This is a part-time role with a fixed term. his role will work 15-20 hours/week and is slated to end on June 17, 2027.

Key Responsibilities
