Job summary

ABCD, Inc. in Dorchester is seeking a part-time Special Education (SPED) Teacher for Ostiguy High School. You will provide SDI, case management, and social-emotional support to students within a trauma-informed, student-centered environment.

The ideal candidate has MA licensure and SEI endorsement, and a commitment to equity. The role is in-person, four hours per day, five days a week during the BPS calendar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE license in Moderate or Severe Disabilities at 7-12.
• SEI Endorsement or active enrollment in SEI Endorsement course.
• Meets all state and federal Highly Qualified guidelines for SPED teachers.
• Ability to write/implement compliant IEPs and manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver SDI aligned to IEPs for a part-time schedule.
• Serve as casemanager for students pursuing sobriety and graduation.
• Lead IEP Team meetings and coordinate with families and staff.
• Progress-monitor IEP goals and adjust instruction based on data.
• Collaborate with teachers to support inclusive, competency-based instruction.
