Job summary

Walmart Sam’s Club in Lynchburg, VA seeks a Part-Time Optician, Licensed to deliver member services in the Optical area. You will assess needs, measure pupillary distance, adjust frames, and process eyewear orders while educating customers on care and usage.

The role involves stocking, merchandising, and maintaining the Optical area, handling payments and insurance, and coordinating with labs and optometrists as needed. SHIFTS may vary.

Qualifications

• Licensed optician required.
• Experience assisting members with eyewear decisions and measurements.
• Ability to educate members on eyewear usage and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service and assist with purchasing decisions.
• Stock and organize Optical area and maintain displays.
• Measure pupillary distance and verify prescription information.
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders and payments.
• Schedule patient appointments and assist with pre-testing where applicable.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and process insurance claims.
