Job summary

Walmart Inc. Sam’s Club in South Point, OH is seeking a licensed Optician – Sam’s Club. Full‑time role offering $28.00+ USD hourly, with compensation up to $36.00/hr. You will dispense eyewear, verify prescriptions, and provide member service in optical.

Responsibilities include measuring pupillary distance, assisting with orders, educating on eyewear care, processing insurance where applicable, and maintaining HIPAA compliance within store optical operations.

Qualifications

• Maintain active state Optician in Charge status and licensure.
• Meet continuing education requirements for state licensure.
• Maintain ABO/NCLE certifications per ABO/NCLE guidelines.
• Sponsoring Apprentice Optical Technicians as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service in the Optical area, assist with purchases, measure and verify prescriptions.
• Educate members on eyewear care and perform frame/lens adjustments and repairs.
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders, verify prescriptions, and coordinate with labs/optometrists.
