Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Licensed Driver in Detroit, MI. You will protect client sites, monitor access, and respond to incidents while using a computer or tablet to support operations.

This role offers part-time hours, a pay rate of $17.50 per hour, and shifts on weekdays and weekends. You will join a team with a culture of integrity and teamwork, and opportunities to grow within a flexible, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitors and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and responders.
