Job summary

Tarrant County College seeks a part-time Counselor to provide counseling and educational/vocational guidance at South Campus. The role collaborates with campus security, faculty, and staff to support student wellbeing and success, and to refer students to community resources as needed.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, developing wellness seminars, assisting with academic advising, and conducting outreach at local high schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work, or related field.
• Three (3) years of working experience providing counseling.
• Licensed mental health professional in Texas (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, NCC).
• Unrestricted mental health license in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to understand and overcome social, emotional, and developmental issues.
• Coordinate with campus police, faculty, and staff for crisis intervention and referrals.
• Develop and present wellness and student success seminars on campus.
• Refer students to relevant community resources as needed.
• Assist with the academic advising process.
• Visit area high schools to conduct seminars and provide college information.
