Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a Part-Time Library Technician to deliver frontline library services at the Kiefer Library Circulation Desk in the Learning Commons. You will assist with check-out, renewals, interlibrary loans, and account management while engaging with students and staff.

The role emphasizes strong communication, data handling, and basic technology support within a collaborative library team environment at the Greeley campus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, and familiar with Windows Operating Software.
• Experience in Google Workspace.
• Experience with spreadsheets, such as Excel, Smartsheet, or Google Sheets.
• Experience with communication platforms such as Slack, Zoom, or other virtual meeting software.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks or requests while handling numerous interruptions.
• Expertise using basic office equipment and productivity software; ability to learn how to use new software and equipment required for specific job assignment.
• Strong communication skills, and function well independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with experience in data management.
• Ability to handle confidential tasks and materials with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to library users, including assisting with check-out/check-in of items and managing users' account records.
• Communicate with Aims students, staff, and faculty in a clear, proactive, and positive manner.
• Provide basic technology assistance to patrons (e.g. check out laptops, hotpots, and other equipment; troubleshoot software/hardware).
• Work with the library team to fulfill interlibrary loan requests and process library materials.
• Send billing notices, manage inventory, displays, and shelving.
• Assist with programming and events in the Learning Commons.
