Job summary

Sno-Isle Libraries in Oak Harbor, WA seeks a Library Associate to deliver essential library services part-time. You will help customers with accounts, basic reference, and technology use, while supporting circulation and programming alongside a committed team.

The role involves varying shifts, potential in-charge responsibilities, and light travel between sites. A strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion is required.

Qualifications

• Direct customer service experience preferred (2+ years).
• Ability to assist with basic reference questions and computer help.
• Able to work as in-charge staff when needed and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide general reference and information service to customers.
• Perform circulation desk tasks and customer service duties.
• Create and present programming for customer groups as assigned.
• Develop program materials and displays.
• Provide training on basic library skills and computer usage.
• Troubleshoot library equipment and assist with tech issues.
• Perform collection maintenance and weeding as needed.
• Open/close buildings and maintain a neat environment.
• Potentially serve as in-charge in absence of supervisor.
• Travel between sites as staffing requires.
