Job summary

Pueblo City County Library District is seeking a part-time Program and Outreach Specialist (20 hours/week) to plan educational and creative programs, engage with community partners, and assist customers with materials and research. The role involves visiting outside agencies and library locations to expand services, promote program attendance, and support overall PCCLD goals.

The position reports to the Library Branch Manager, collaborates with team members, and contributes to a positive work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; at least one year related job experience.
• Experience planning and executing library programs and events is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and carries out public educational, cultural, and creative programs and events for adults, teens and children within PCCLD mission goals.
• Coordinates programs with experts and may participate in programs as a storyteller, actor, instructor, facilitator, or presenter.
• Engages in hospitality to provide customer assistance at the point of need; roves to greet customers, locate materials, and provide readers advisory services.
• Proactively provides information to customers to promote circulation and program attendance.
• Reaches out to individuals and organizations in the community and builds partnerships relative to library programming.
• Instructs customers on use of library computers and digital resources.
• Maintains program data and prepares reports; performs other administrative duties.
