Job summary

Portage County District Library is seeking a Library Associate I to assist patrons by delivering library materials and performing general maintenance tasks.

The position averages 15 hours per week, includes some evenings and weekends, and is hourly, non-exempt under the union contract. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to move materials from one location to another.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily delivery and pick-up of library materials, supplies, and correspondence.
• Perform building and grounds tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and cleaning duties.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
