Job summary

Portage County District Library is seeking a Library Associate I to support delivery of materials and perform general maintenance. The role is part-time, averaging 15 hours weekly, with some evenings and weekends. Emphasis on safe driving, accurate records, and following written and verbal instructions.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver's license. Candidates should be able to move library materials and perform light maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions; ability to move materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up library materials as assigned.
• Perform minor building and grounds maintenance tasks (change light bulbs, clean areas, remove snow).
• Maintain records and assist with setup of tables and chairs for meetings.
• Attend staff trainings and perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
