Job summary

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver for a part-time role, delivering library materials, mail, supplies, and equipment between library locations and the community. The position supports library programs and events and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate library vehicles in varying conditions.

Starting wage is $14.24 per hour with benefits such as OPERS, paid holidays, PTO, EAP, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver''s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate library vehicles in varying weather and traffic conditions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer and mobile device skills.
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred.
• Experience in facilities or custodial/maintenance operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate library vehicles to transport materials between library locations and community destinations.
• Follow delivery schedules and adapt to operational needs.
• Load, unload, lift, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and proper location.
• Maintain delivery records and complete required logs.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Assist with movement and setup of furniture and equipment for programs and events.
• Assist with custodial tasks and minor facilities maintenance per supervisor.
