Job summary

You will perform janitorial, electrical, plumbing and mechanical tasks, operate a library vehicle for pickups and deliveries, and support meetings and security routines. Evening and weekend hours apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with routine vehicle repairs, electrical, mechanical and plumbing work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Offers consistently excellent customer service.
• Performs janitorial, mechanical, and site maintenance functions as assigned.
• Performs basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work as assigned.
• Packs, loads, delivers, and distributes library materials and supplies using a library vehicle.
• Assists in maintenance of security systems and alarm responses as needed.
• Inspects and maintains building and equipment; reports repairs to the Facilities Manager.
• Reports supply and equipment needs to the appropriate person.
• Assists in setting up for meetings and presentations.
• Serves on various teams and committees.
• Keeps up with e-mail and information posted on the staff site.
• Works evenings and weekends.
