Job summary

Medina County District Library in Medina, OH seeks a Delivery Driver to join its Facilities department. The role sorts and prepares library materials for shipping, maintains shipping/receiving records, and delivers materials to community libraries and other locations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. The position is part-time, 25 hours weekly, with a schedule of 8:00am–4:00pm Monday–Friday, and includes

Job description

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING :

The Medina County District Library is seeking a Delivery Driver to join its Facilities department. Sorts and prepares library materials for shipping and delivery; maintains shipping/receiving records; delivers and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment to community libraries and other locations .

QUALIFICATIONS :

Candidate must possess high school degree or equivalent; valid Ohio driver's license in good standing; be safety conscious and actaccordingly; demonstrate the ability to lift and transfer crates of 50 pounds; and ability to follow instructions, work independently and in a team, and maintain schedule. Must pass pre-employment physical to ensure they can perform these physical requirements safely.

WAGE :

$16.60 per hour; Grade 3

BENEFITS :

Vacation, sick leave, personal days, holidays, and other benefits based on Union contract; Public Employees Retirement System

HOURS :

Part-t ime; 25 hours per week ; 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday with ½ hour for lunch (schedule subject to change based on needs of the library)
