Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some library or clerical experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate library systems and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service and assist patrons with locating materials.
• Perform circulation functions, check materials in/out using library software.
• Process patron registrations and issue library cards.
• Manage holds and overdue materials and communicate with patrons.
• Prepare materials for shelving and maintain orderly public areas.
• Answer telephone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
• Support mail processing, library programs, and other operations.
