Job summary

Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL) is seeking three Circulation Assistants for part-time roles. You will provide excellent customer service, assist with check-in/out, shelving, payments for fines, and help patrons with technology and online resources in a busy library environment.

Positions require a high school diploma, and the schedule includes evenings and weekends. Spanish and library experience are considered a plus as ACPL serves a diverse community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including nights and weekends.
• Spanish language ability is desirable.
• Previous library experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote ACPL’s values and mission.
• Follow and enforce library policies and procedures.
• Work at all public service desks.
• Assist with maintenance of library collections.
• Assist patrons with reference interactions and reader advisory inquiries.
• Assist patrons with Self-Checkout and technology use.
• Take responsibility for appearance of the library and displays.
• Other duties as assigned.
