Augusta County Library in Fishersville is seeking a part-time Library Aide to deliver friendly, accurate service, assist patrons at desks, and handle materials quickly and correctly.

The role includes circulation, shelving, basic technology help, program support, and adherence to library policies; candidates must learn the integrated system and be available for Saturday shifts. The position is on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Prior customer-service or clerical work preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn library procedures, circulation practices, and shelving systems.
• Willingness to assist patrons with technology and use of digital resources.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patrons and provide courteous service at public service desks.
• Check materials in/out, process holds, and assist with library cards.
• Shelve materials accurately and perform routine processing of new items.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and program support.
• Complete routine filing and data entry, follow library policies.
