Job summary

University Partners, a student housing provider, seeks a Leasing Consultant to support leasing, marketing, and resident relations with strong customer service. You will conduct tours, process applications, and ensure compliant leasing practices to maximize occupancy and revenue.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and willingness to work weekends during peak leasing seasons, with emphasis on teamwork and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in leasing, sales, marketing, or customer service preferred.
• Strong math skills for rent calculations.
• Ability to explain lease documents clearly.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Comfortable using social media for marketing and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, guests, and vendors.
• Lease apartments in alignment with occupancy and revenue goals.
• Follow Fair Housing standards in all interactions.
• Conduct tours and present community features and amenities.
• Support marketing and outreach efforts.
• Review applications including income, credit, and background screening.
• Prepare and maintain lease files and required documentation.
• Verify apartment readiness prior to move-in.
• Support lease renewal and retention efforts.
• Track leads, guest cards, and follow-ups in property management systems.
• Respond to calls, emails, and resident communication professionally and timely.
• Assist with work order entry and maintenance communication.
• Support move-in processes including documentation and system setup.
• Maintain leasing office, model units, and amenity presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of market competitors, pricing, and concessions.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of lease terms, unit specifications, availability, current market conditions, and all community policies.
• Ensure understanding of required application information, screening process, policies, and procedures.
