Gene B. Glick Company is seeking a part-time Leasing Consultant for Kings Landing in Suffolk, VA. The role centers on delivering exceptional customer service, showing apartments, and guiding prospects through the occupancy process.

You will handle inquiries, process applications, coordinate move-ins, and assist with promotions while ensuring HUD/Fair Housing compliance. Weekend availability and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a customer service environment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and email inquiries to set appointments to show the community.
• Greet prospects, tour models, explain occupancy terms and local areas.
• Close the sale, obtain a holding deposit, and process applications or waiting lists.
• Follow up with prospects to secure leases and move the process forward.
• Determine eligibility per government regulations and company procedures.
• Process applications, prepare move-in paperwork, and conduct move-in.
• Assist with advertising and promotions for the property and resident retention.
• Conduct market surveys to monitor competitors and adapt strategies.
• Provide marketing recommendations based on survey results.
• Submit reports to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure all activities comply with HUD regulations and Fair Housing requirements.
