Job summary

Kingswood is seeking a well-qualified Learning Support teacher to support pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties, ensuring they reach their academic potential.

The role is part-time (three days a week: Tue, Wed, Thu) for the 2026/27 academic year. A Level 5 SLD teaching qualification is required, with a Level 7 postgraduate would be advantageous. DBS checks and safeguarding duties apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a qualification in teaching pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties (Level 5).
• Postgraduate SpLD Level 7 qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience in assessing for access arrangements is desirable.

Responsibilities

For the 2026-2027 academic year, we are looking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced teacher to work in the Learning Support Department, supporting pupils with a range of Specific Learning Difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, ASD or ADHD, to ensure that they are able to reach their full academic potential.

The successful candidate must have a qualification in teaching pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties (Level 5) as well as relevant experience. In addition, a postgraduate SpLD Level 7 qualification or equivalent which allows them to assess for access arrangements, would be an advantage.
