Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a lead teacher who helps plan curriculum, train and observe teachers, and maintain accurate classroom records. This role supports the program director in hiring, training, and managing LifeWise teachers and requires active involvement in a local church in agreement with the LifeWise faith statement.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Plan Curriculum: determine which LifeWise lessons to teach each year and ensure consistency with LifeWise mission.
• Train and Observe Teachers: organize annual training, lead regular meetings, observe teachers, and coordinate training opportunities.
• Create and Maintain Records: develop classroom schedules, maintain rosters including health concerns and special needs.
• Communicate: visit classes regularly, support volunteers, and provide updates to the program director.
