Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a lead teacher to support the program director in hiring, training and managing LifeWise teachers. You will plan curricula, ensure consistency, and provide resources to staff.

The role requires a minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience and a committed Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs. Part-time, non-exempt hourly work with opportunities to participate in annual LifeWise events.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum for each school year and select LifeWise lessons.
• Ensure consistency in expectations, procedures, curriculum and LifeWise mission across teachers/classes.
• Provide curriculum and supplemental materials to teachers with the program director.
• Organize a teacher training day at the start of each school year.
• Lead regular teacher meetings to maintain procedures and curriculum consistency.
• Assist the program director in observing teachers.
• Attend team liaison or LifeWise training opportunities.
• Encourage teacher participation at the LifeWise Summit.
• Create classroom schedules and coordinate changes with staff.
• Maintain accurate class rosters including health concerns and special needs.
