Job summary

Tharp Consulting in Williamsport seeks a Cashier/Stocker with leadership duties when managers are away. You will unload trucks, stock, rotate items, and help with displays while guiding team effort.

You’ll operate the register, handle payments, greet customers, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards. This role also covers opening/closing tasks and cash control processes, contributing to smooth store operations.

Qualifications

Role Overview: This position functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role involves maintaining store presentation, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

• Key Responsibilities: Unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and assist in plan-o-gram implementation. Support customer service by locating products and greeting customers.
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, collect payments, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms, and setting up displays.
• Assist with opening/closing the store, sign refunds/overrides, and ensure cash control and security protocols are followed.
• Monitor cash levels, oversee cashier accountability, and complete necessary documentation and banking tasks.

Qualifications & Skills: Ability to lead in store operations, provide exceptional customer service, handle cash and security procedures, and perform physical tasks such as unloading trucks and cleaning. Knowledge of store processes, plan-o-grams, and inventory management is essential.
