Job summary

RISE Services is expanding its Rhode Island employment program in East Providence. We seek an experienced Employment Specialist or Job Coach to start part-time with growth into leadership as referrals grow.

Initial duties focus on direct employment services to individuals with disabilities, including job development, placement, and coaching, with mileage reimbursement provided. The role offers flexible weekday scheduling, potential to mentor new staff, and opportunities to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, or related field plus 3+ years of relevant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, disability services, employment services, job coaching, transition services, or related field

Responsibilities

• Provide direct employment services to individuals with disabilities, including career exploration and employment preparation, job searching, job development, and job coaching
• Connect with local employers and coordinate job placements
• Deliver employment-retention services and maintain service documentation
• Communicate with clients, families, employers, and referral partners; travel within East Bay region
