Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean, sort, and store linens and uniforms, ensuring the hotel’s laundry needs are met. You will operate washers, dryers, and folding/ironing equipment, while maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy laundry facility.

The role requires basic math and communication in English, with physical duties including lifting up to 75 pounds and frequent standing. Night/weekend shifts may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some laundry experience and ability to speak English preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 400 pounds.
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working near high temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled linens and sort by kind, color and soil.
• Operate washers and dryers following manufacturer guidelines and add chemicals as needed.
• Fold clean linens and store; operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and ironer machines.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Monitor supplies and minimize waste within laundry facility.
• Sort and record discarded linen and report damages.
• Promote teamwork and quality service with other departments.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
