Responsibilities include collecting, sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry; ensuring a steady linen supply; labeling items; delivering clean clothing to rooms; and strictly following sanitation and safety guidelines around industrial equipment and cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Language Skills: Read and comprehend instructions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills.
• Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to seek assistance when appropriate.
• Certifications: None required.

Responsibilities

• Collect daily laundry from residents and sort, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Ensure a constant supply of clean linen for resident care.
• Maintain linens in good repair and remove items with holes or stains from service.
• Label clothing for new residents and deliver clean items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines when operating industrial equipment and handling cleaning supplies.
• Monitor laundry supply levels and promptly report equipment issues to the Administrator.
