Job summary

Northampton Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Laundry Aide to support clean linens and resident clothing, ensuring comfort and dignity. The role offers full-time shifts (7 AM–3 PM and 3 PM–11 PM) with a pay rate of $16/hour and benefits, under Marquis Health Consulting Services' support.

You will handle laundry collection, washing, folding, and delivery to residents while upholding infection control and teamwork within the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as Laundry Aide or in housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Collect resident laundry from rooms promptly and respectfully.
• Wash, dry, and care for resident clothing and linens per procedures.
• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry neatly to residents.
• Maintain organized laundry areas and safe equipment use.
• Assist with non-clinical tasks to support facility operations.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Report damaged or missing items to staff.

Responsibilities for Laundry Aide:

• Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.
• Wash, dry, and properly care for resident clothing and facility linens according to established procedures.
• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents, ensuring items are delivered accurately and neatly.
• Maintain organized laundry areas and ensure equipment is used safely and properly.
• Assist with non-clinical support tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Report any issues with damaged or missing items to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications for Laundry Aide:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in a housekeeping role preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
