Job summary

Ponca Gaming is seeking a Part-Time Steward in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on washing, cleaning, and proper storage of all kitchen wares, with responsibilities spanning dishwashing, deep-cleaning, and maintaining storage areas in a fast-paced casino setting.

Candidates should be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a dedication to safety and consistent attendance. Experience preferred but not required; training on chemical handling and sanitation will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be trained in the safe and effective use of heavy chemicals (soaps, degreasers, and other cleaning materials).
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
• Must understand temperature readings and adjust as necessary.
• Must be able to work individually or with a team to perform tasks.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain the appropriate Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Washes all wares in dishwasher or by hand.
• Keeps kitchen, storage, and receiving areas clean and organized; washes and cleans trash areas.
• Maintains cleanliness of concession areas and self-serve locations.
• Stores dishes and wares in proper areas.
• Deep cleans dish machine after each meal service.
• Follows a thorough deep cleaning schedule for all areas as directed by leadership.
• Performs daily heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment (mopping, scrubbing, sweeping).
• Cleans and maintains dry and cold storage areas.
• Performs duties in a positive, professional manner.
• Maintains a consistent attendance record and works the required schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ensures safety standards are met and hazards are addressed.
• Represents Prairie Flower Casino’s Mission and Values.
