Job summary

CCS Building Group is seeking a cabinetry designer to work with project managers and the interior design team to design kitchen plans, manage orders, and provide project updates. The role involves measuring spaces, creating plans, and coordinating with suppliers from quotes to delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cabinetry design, knowledge of 2020 Kitchen Design, and proficiency in ProKitchen or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 3 years of cabinetry design experience is required.
• 2020 Kitchen Design knowledge is required.
• Frameless cabinets knowledge is important.
• ProKitchen or AutoCAD proficiency is a plus; willingness to learn new software as the industry evolves.
• Proven skills and successes related to design, construction, leadership, and sales.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Face-to-face experience negotiating and solving problems with clients.
• Ability to establish early rapport and trust with new prospects.
• Experience managing orders and accounts with cabinetry manufacturers.
• Outgoing and motivating personality.
• Experienced in Excel and Word
• A college degree is a plus but not required.
• Interior or architectural design experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design kitchen plans and manage orders on behalf of the project team.
• Prepare drawings and cost quotes for delivery to customers.
• Measure existing spaces to verify dimensions before cabinetry orders.
• Apply kitchen design fundamentals including layout, appliances, plumbing, electrical and ventilation.
• Define kitchen aesthetics: cabinet styles, hardware, countertops, backsplashes, appliances, fixtures, flooring, and colors.
• Assemble specifications for kitchen materials.
• Collaborate with the project manager or interior designer.

Purpose:

Job Duties:

• Detailed knowledge of various cabinet manufactures lines and product offerings.


• Prepare drawings and cost quotes to project team for delivery to customer.


• Measure existing spaces to verify dimensions before ordering cabinetry.


• Kitchen design fundamentals including layout, appliances, plumbing, electrical and ventilation.


• Kitchen design aesthetic including cabinet styles, hardware, countertops, back slashes, appliances, plumbing, fixtures, flooring, and colors.


• Assemble specifications for the kitchen materials.


• Work under the direction of the project manager or interior designer

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3 years in cabinetry design is required.


• 2020 Kitchen Design is required.
