Job summary

The Town of Gilbert's Team Gilbert is seeking a Recreation Leader - Kiddy Korner to support child-focused programs, craft activities, and customer service. This role works with children ages 18 months to 7 years in a safe, friendly environment.

Hours are approximately 10-15 per week, Mon-Thu 8am-12pm and 4-8pm, Fri 8am-12pm and 4-7:30pm, with rotating Saturdays 8am-1pm. Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and fingerprinting required; position is At-Will and Non-Exempt with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work with minimal supervision and respond to emergencies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Flexibility to work days/evenings; 10–15 hours weekly with specific shift blocks.
• Must obtain CPR and Standard First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing facility programs and events.
• Prepare activities and curriculum; lead and monitor activities; adapt to participants' needs; maintain records.
• Provide customer service and resolve conflicts with internal and external customers.
• Facilitate activities, crafts and games for children ages 18 months to 7 years in a safe environment.
