Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking, LLC in Austin, TX is hiring part-time Chef Instructors to lead engaging cooking classes for children aged 3–18. Instructors bring the kitchen to kids at various on-site locations, delivering hour-long enrichment sessions and cooking lessons.

You will create recipes, explore new ingredients, and teach kitchen skills while coordinating with school staff and families. Paid training and individualized support are included.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday - Friday, between 2-5 pm).
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4-12 weeks).
• Fingerprint background check required.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• COVID vaccination may be required by districts and schools.
• No professional cooking experience required.
• Experience working with kids is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long cooking enrichment classes for children.
• Create age-appropriate recipes and teach ingredients and healthy foods from around the world.
• Review weekly class curricula and prepare instruction; shop for fresh ingredients as needed.
• Teach basic kitchen skills and discuss nutrition, history and culture behind recipes.
• Provide direction and encouragement to help kids create a new recipe each class.
