Job summary

American Veterinary Group is seeking a part-time Kennel Assistant to support a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. You will help care for boarding animals, follow feeding schedules, administer prescribed medications, and maintain the kennel area while ensuring exceptional patient and client service.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, team-oriented, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work in a wet environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarding animals and monitor their well-being.
• Maintain kennel area, including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Follow feeding schedules and provide prescribed medications as directed.
• Bathing animals and assisting with basic grooming tasks.
• Communicate with clients regarding care and status of pets.
• Assist with general hospital cleaning and on-site tasks as needed.
