Job summary

Ideal Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to care for patients receiving grooming or boarding services. You will help keep kennels clean, feed and exercise animals, and follow client instructions for each visit.

Weekend availability is often required; prior veterinary experience is preferred. Safety and strong teamwork are essential to ensure compassionate care and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when interacting with clients and their pets.
• Ability to work well with practice team and follow instructions.
• Clear communication of boarding outcomes to clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients visiting for grooming or boarding.
• Record feeding, appearance and behavior during visits.
• Walk and exercise patients several times daily.
• Ensure kennels and rooms are clean and odor-free.
• Assist with daily laundry, sanitation, and property organization.
• Adhere to safety protocols and assist Doctors/Technicians as needed.
