Job summary

American Veterinary Group's Haile Plantation Animal Clinic is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant to support a fast-paced, multi-doctor veterinary hospital. The role includes caring for boarding animals, maintaining feeding schedules, providing medications, and upholding high standards of care.

This on-site position requires compassionate, dependable team members who can work weekends and adapt to a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Experience working with animals in a hospital setting preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain back of hospital and boarding duties.
• Care for boarding animals; provide feeding schedules and medications as prescribed.
• Maintain kennel area cleanliness and hygiene (cleaning/mopping).
• Bath animals and assist with general cleaning of the hospital.
• Communicate with clients as needed.
