Job summary

Study Smart in Kalamazoo, MI seeks enthusiastic instructors, tutors, family facilitators, and educational consultants to support first‑gen students preparing for college and careers. We collaborate with schools, nonprofits, and colleges to deliver tutoring, exam prep, and family workshops.

The role requires in-person availability during/after school hours with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday and close teamwork with our Education staff to build effective learning strategies for diverse

Qualifications

• Must hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching certification is strongly preferred.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Flexible availability Monday through Friday during/after school hours.
• Complete and pass a background check (fingerprinting based on location).

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart's Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students.
