Job summary

Study Smart in Waldorf, MD is actively seeking enthusiastic instructors, tutors, family facilitators, and educational consultants to help first-generation students gain college access and career readiness. Our partnerships with schools, non-profits, and colleges shape a supportive, equity-focused learning landscape.

As part of our team, you will provide tutoring to groups of students, adapt to new materials and teaching strategies, and keep strong communication with Study Smart staff.

Qualifications

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 11 AM EST.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff
• Partner with Study Smart Tutors Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students
