Job summary

Lifesteps is hiring a Part-Time Job Coach to help young adults with special needs find employment and receive on-the-job support. The role provides guidance at the worksite, coordinating with the position requirements and monitoring progress toward a successful match.

Responsibilities include resume development, interview preparation, on-site coaching, and ongoing communication with employers, families, and Lifesteps management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to multi-task, work in a team, and communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a vehicle to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals through the employment process, including resumes, applications, and interviews.
• Teach independent job skills using task analysis and supports, including assistive technology.
• Assist on the job by breaking tasks into manageable steps and monitoring progress.
• Identify and solve problems to prevent crises for the worker, employer, or coworkers.
• Work independently in the community and maintain professional relationships with employers.
• Provide ongoing updates to employers, families, staff, and management.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and timely.
