Job summary

Lifesteps is hiring a Part-Time Special Needs Job Coach to help young adults with disabilities find employment and receive on-site support. The role provides instruction at the work location and coordination with employers.

Key duties include resume development, interview coaching, teaching job tasks, monitoring progress, and maintaining documentation. Requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Reliable driver’s license and vehicle for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals through the employment process, including resume development and interviewing with employers.
• Teach independent job skills and task analysis at the work site.
• Work with individuals to analyze tasks, break them into steps, and complete assignments.
• Identify and address problems to prevent crises for the individual or employer.
• Provide ongoing updates to employers, families, and staff; ensure documentation is completed accurately.
