Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to perform daily cleaning services at designated sites in Chester, VA.

The role involves dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, trash removal, mopping, and glass cleaning. Training is provided; a criminal background check is required, including a federal check when needed. Some evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED not required.
• Previous experience is helpful but not required. Will train.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Additionally, must be able to pass a federal background check as required.
• No computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean environment by performing daily and scheduled tasks as required by the contract.
• Dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping and glass cleaning.
• Monitors the use of supplies and requests additional supplies as needed using a ‘just in time’ inventory system.
