Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is hiring for a full-time janitorial position. The role covers nightly cleaning duties in designated sites from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am, Monday through Friday. Training is provided, with emphasis on maintaining a clean environment and following safety rules.

Applicants must pass criminal and federal background checks and are not required to have computer skills. The position offers a routine overnight schedule and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED not required.
• Will train.
• No computer skills are required.
• Must pass criminal and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean environment by performing daily and scheduled tasks as required by the contract.
• Tasks include but are not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping and glass cleaning.
• Monitors the use of supplies and requests additional supplies as needed using a ‘just in time’ inventory system.
