Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis is seeking Adjunct Faculty for Computer Information Technology. This part-time role involves teaching under existing syllabi, using technology to support learning, and maintaining accurate records.

Candidates should hold a master’s degree or higher in related fields, or an aligned bachelor’s with multiple competencies; preferred are AWS/Azure, Linux, certifications, and virtualization knowledge. A cover letter and unofficial transcript are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher in CIS/IT related field or equivalent with required coursework
• Alternative master’s with 18 semester hours in relevant areas
• Bachelor’s with two or more focus areas and applicable certifications or experience
• Demonstrated teaching excellence or research output is preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes per college policy and course objectives
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods
• Adjust lesson plans and materials; maintain accurate records and grades
• Engage with students to create a positive learning experience
• Develop teaching strategies to engage students effectively
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues; follow policies and FERPA
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Promote an environment reflecting diverse backgrounds

Education

Master’s degree or higher in computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science or a related degree

Related master’s degree with 18 semester hours in computer/business/math/engineering fields

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or business/computer related field + documentation in two or more areas
